Texas Roadhouse is taking applications online and in person for its Tupelo restaurant, which is scheduled to open May 8.
According to a company spokeswoman, applications are being accepted in person every day except Sunday from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Courtyard Marriott hotel behind the restaurant.
Job openings can be viewed online here. Type in area code 38801 for Tupelo to see what’s available.
The spokeswoman said the company is hiring about 180 full- and part-time associated to join the team at the Tupelo location, which is still under construction.
That number will drop as the restaurant goes along; it’s typical to be overstaffed during the first few days and weeks of any restaurant’s new opening.
The nearly 7,200-square-foot restaurant will have parking for about 160 vehicles on the 2.3 acre site.
The restaurant will have some 60 booths for diners, plus another 15 seats at the bar.
Texas Roadhouse was founded on Feb. 17, 1993, when Kent Taylor opened the first location in Clarksville, Indiana.
