ABratt's Favorite Web Comments: Liberals Were...Conservatives Were...

Re-posted from HP, 10-13-12, by AB

"Liberals were the patriots who fought an won the American Revolution. Conservatives were the tories who supported aristocracy and the King of England. FDR fought against the 'economic royalists' who caused the Great Depression and were a threat to the American Dream. Now history repeats. A group of super-rich who believe they are 'American royalty' caused the Great Recession and are trying to get Romney/Ryan elected. Read the novel 'American Royalty' by Janet G. Miller to see who they are, their destructive beliefs and their 'hidden' deceptive actions that try to destroy the American Dream and the very essence of democracy with defacto laws (not passed by Congress but enacted by judges) such as Citizens United. Since 'American royalty' took control of the GOP, the GOP loves big new laws, court decisions and regulations that are unfair to everyone other than 'American royalty'. And they want to amend the Constitution that they frequently use to justify their actions. That's just a step to take us back to a government run by aristocrats like we had before 1776."

"Wake up; deny Obama victory"

"Mitt Romney came to the debate armed with facts and a clear vision. President Obama showed up and, well, voted 'present.' The contrast between the two was strikingly obvious. Wake up, America. Background and experience do matter. The nation cannot afford to make the same mistake again by re-electing this smooth-talking 'community organizer.'”

Holcomb:
"... Rommney came to the debate armed with facts and a clear vision."
Sorry, Mr. Holcomb, but Romney made up his own "facts" for the debate to suit Romney. And the one percenters.  From what we all know about Romney, his "Vision" is built around the worship of a false prophet, a Mormon man better known as Joe Smith. Romney is in no way a true Christian. Should he be allowed to be president of a Christian country founded on the Text of the Christian Bible? Personally, I don't think so.

DISQUS Takes Control Of Daily Journal Reader Comments?
by ABratt
Oct 10, 2012 | 879 views | 0 0 comments | 9 9 recommendations | email to a friend | print | permalink

Maybe Disqus bought the Journal out?

What was wrong with the former simple to operate comment program?

Disqus now tells me that I have to install a certain browser on my computer before I will be allowed to comment. Some people, me included, have to use whatever they already have on their computers without installing one that can cost up to $200 or one in particular they suggest using that is free but I learned some time ago not to use a free browser no matter how swift and accurate the mfg. claims it to be. One browser I tried previously caused me a lot PROBLEMS with my computer. And. I'm still having them.

Disqus also tells me that I have to have a following on Twitter or Face Book to be eligible to comment on the Daily Journal web site. No other web site has ever told me such nonsense.

It all sounds strange to me. Suddenly I and maybe some others are being disallowed their rights of free speech.

Try to comment on this post and see if you can.

Thanks,

ABratt

"Growing up in a devout Latter-Day Saint (Mormon) family in a suburb of Salt Lake City, I knew my religion as well as my name. My mom played the organ in a Mormon temple, I was a Boy Scout, and there was rarely a Sunday when we would miss church. Praying at least three times daily and studying the Book of Mormon were as essential as brushing our teeth or making dinner."

Science & God: Will Science Rule Out The Existence Of God?

By Natalie Wochover, HP, 9-18-12

"Over the past few centuries, science can be said to have gradually chipped away at the traditional grounds for believing in God. Much of what once seemed mysterious — the existence of humanity, the life-bearing perfection of Earth, the workings of the universe — can now be..."
