I've seen two good ones lately, so I thought I'd share.
Fellow Journalite Ginna let me borrow "The King's Speech." I'd heard it was good, but boring. Maybe it is to some folks, but I enjoyed myself. Colin Firth deserved every bit of that Oscar he won for Best Actor. He's phenomenal (and, yes, handsome), as is the rest of the cast.
I'm a big Bette Davis fan – duh – and I'm trying to watch as many Bette movies as possible. I just saw "That Certain Woman" for the first time. It also stars Henry Fonda. It's one of those delicious little melodramas, totally unrealistic but so much fun to watch. Bette is wonderful, as always. I loved it.
