As college football expansion turns, reports indicate that Missouri, long-rumored as a possible SEC addition, could in fact become the league's 14th team. 

West Virginia had been rumored as an SEC addition as well, but it looks like the Mountaineers will have a hard time getting out of the Big East. This CBS report says they've been turned down by both the SEC and the ACC.

Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott threw a wrench in expansion plans by announcing Tuesday that his league would remain at 12 teams. That was not welcome news for Oklahoma, but it may be for those schools who would like to save the Big 12, which has been reduced to the Big 9 since the addition of Texas A&M to the SEC. Georgia coach Mark Richt laughed at the news that some are calling the Ole Miss-Georgia matchup between Richt and Houston Nutt the "Hotseat Bowl." Nutt didn't have anything to say about the informal title given by some to Saturday's game.

From Anderson, S.C., columnist Scott Adamson says the pressure will ease a bit for the Hotseat Bowl's winning coach.
