Wreck claims former Ole Miss track All-American

John Yarbrough, a track All-American under Ole Miss coach Joe Walker, died Saturday morning as a result of a car accident in Orlando, Fla., according to Ole Miss media relations.

Linnie Jr., his older brother, remains in critical condition with a head injury. Linnie starred at Middle Tennessee State in track, as an All-American, and also in football.

John ran hurdles at Ole Miss from 2005-2008 and was named All-American three times. He was honored in the 2006 110-meter hurdles, the 2007 60-meter hurdles (indoor) and 110-meter hurdles.

He was NCAA runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles in 2007 and the SEC champion in the indoor 60-mter hurdles the same year.
