Fashionista is now open in the West Main Shopping Center in Tupelo.

The store carries women's clothes in sizes 14 through 36 (6X).

Catonyia Steen is the owner. She's a former assistant teacher in Shannon.

"I felt there was a need for affordable clothes for plus-size women," she said

Steen, a plus-size woman, said she used to drive out of state to buy fashionable clothes in her size.

Her store carries dresses, tops, pants, jeans, purses, jewelry, leggings and shoes. Jeans are $20 to $30. She has work and school-appropriate clothes, too.
