After 32 years of business, Jim Troxler is closing The Village Green.

Tomorrow, he'll start a going-out-of-business liquidation sale at the store on West Main Street.

Troxler, 65, said he doesn't want to stop working, but said closing the business was the best move.

"We've struggled the last five years trying to keep it afloat, and we finally came to the point where we knew we just weren't going to make it," he said.

The store, know for its collectible items, Christmas goods, books and other items, moved to its current location in 1998. But overhead costs and declining sales during an economic downturn proved too difficult to overcome, he said.

Troxler hopes to sell the building and all of its contents.
