GREENVILLE, Miss. (AP) — A 22-year-old Greenville woman is accused of killing her mother by pushing her out a moving vehicle.

The Delta Democrat Times reports (http://bit.ly/KiKvc70 ) Malorie Marie Box is charged with murder in the death of 42-year-old Jodie Chennault. Box was charged Monday, the day of Chennault's funeral.

Investigators tell The Associated Press that Box has been released on a $75,000 bond. She is represented by Washington County public defender Stan Perkins, who wasn't immediately available for comment late Tuesday.

Washington County Sheriff's Department investigators were called to Delta Regional Medical Center about 5 a.m. June 10.

Box initially was charged with aggravated assault, but those charges were upgraded after her mother died. Assistant Chief Deputy Billy Barber says he doesn't know how fast the vehicle was moving when Chennault fell out.
