Booneville’s Rubenstein to be honored on Saturday

A memorial/celebration honoring Booneville native and longtime director of the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum Michael Rubenstein is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m.

The event will be at the George E. Allen Library in Booneville.

Rubenstein, who died Dec. 1, 2011, in Jackson, was a longtime TV sportscaster. He was a graduate of Booneville High School, where he was a member of the basketball team, and a graduate of Vanderbilt.
