The most expensive of the projects is $7 million for Magee General Hospital to buy interest in the ownership of medical office building.
Magee Benevolent Association, which owns the hospital, will buy 51 percent ownership in The Medical Towers in Magee.
The state of Mississippi requires a certificate of need in a process designed to avoid duplication of health care services and control costs.
Currier also announced approval CONs for:
— Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale for renovation and expansion of its radiology department. The hospital will spend $3.8 million to replace a cardiac catheterization unit.
— Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center also will spend $387,500 to convert a mobile magnetic resonance imaging equipment to a fixed location.
— Baptist Medical Center-Leake Inc. in Carthage to offer MRI services.
— Renal Care Group Tupelo will spend $1.5 million to open a 10-station satellite dialysis facility in New Albany.
