PONTOTOC - An Oxford man charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute was arraigned in Pontotoc County Justice Court Tuesday.

A $10,000 bond was set for Jonathan Cain, of Oxford.

Cain was arrested at a Mississippi Department of Transportation law enforcement checkpoint and then charged by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics according to Sherman Police Chief Joel Spellins.

He was out on bond for a previous drug charge in Lafayette County.

Spellins said the handgun and Ak-47 found in Cain's car will enhance his drug charges.
