Ole Miss basketball coach Andy Kennedy says an MRI on the sprained ankle of Murphy Holloway showed no fracture. Holloway, the third-leading rebounder in the SEC last season at 9.0 per game, is expected to be out of basketball activity for a couple of weeks.

It's not the same ankle he sprained that caused him to miss time last December and January. He sprained it last week in a pro-am event in his home state of South Carolina.

There are a lot of things to like about the Ole Miss basketball team this coming season, starting with depth and experience in the front court.

But that group gets thinner in a hurry if Holloway isn't there to bring the energy and rebounding that has been the trademark of his game since his freshman season.
