I have missed Camp Wilderness the last two days while I worked on tab and some other things here in town. Thanks to Hayden Sowers for filling in.

The plan was to get back over there this morning and again tomorrow for the scrimmage. The second scrimmage in an August camp is usually pretty important in terms of players' jockeying for position on the depth chart.

So that was the plan, but sometimes plans spontaneously combust, and this one has. One lasting result of the wreck in 1991 has been two defiant knees that have certain points past which they refuse to bend. The combination of high, wet grass and bad traction from the footwear led to an unfortunate backyard incident yesterday, so here I sit at Jones Family Medical Clinic this morning.

I was actually about to take care of the grass but never reached the mower. That's the long version of why you won't see a live practice report from me later today. I suspect I will make the scrimmage tomorrow. That's the plan, but you know from reading above what sometimes happens to plans. We'll see what Dr. Phil has to say here in a bit. Hopefully it's just a bit, but you also know how doctors' waiting rooms can be.

In the mean time I'll be checking the blog. Got a comment or question? Leave it here. I'll be around throughout the day when Phil finishes doing his thing. I'm optimistic. The knee feels better this morning than it did last night.
