RIPLEY – An early morning Tuesday fire destroyed a house on County Road 419 but produced no injuries, Ripley volunteer firefighters said.

One person was home at the time. Firefighters were uncertain of the owner’s name or who was living in it.

Firefighters dispatched about 6:30 a.m. found the back side of the one floor frame house fully involved in smoke and flames. The fire was brought under control in about a half-hour. The back two rooms of the house suffered the most fire damage, but the ret of the structure suffered severe smoke and water damage.

Firefighters returned to station about 8:30 a.m.
