TUPELO – City leaders on Thursday passed a $32 million general operating budget and an $18 million capital spending plan for the upcoming fiscal year.

The City Council approved both with a 6-1 vote. Ward 6 Councilman Mike Bryan was the sole opponent.

Tupelo residents will see no tax increase as a result of the city's spending plan.
