Strong storms move through Northeast Mississippi

Storm damage reports from National Weather Service from Wednesday night.

9:50 p.m. - Southwest of Mytrle in Union County - Several mobile homes with moderate to major roof damage, powerlines down, large trees down at County Road 54 near County Road 51 intersection.

10:30 p.m. - Mytrle in Union County - 7-8 mobile homes destroyed and blown off foundation. Several houses have roof damage due to trees falling on them. No injuries at this time.

11:16 p.m. - Tupelo - House fire in the city limits of Tupelo due to lightning strike.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then becoming sunny, with a high near 73. West southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
