One in custody in string of burglaries in Monroe County, one still missing

ABERDEEN – The Monroe County Sheriff Office has apprehended one of the two subjects wanted for questioning in the Breaking and Entering of several residences and commercial properties in Monroe County.

Kelby G. Carter, 28, of Amory, was taken into custody Tuesday, October 23, near Aberdeen. Carter is currently being held at Monroe County Detention Center.

Monroe County Sheriff Department is still searching for any information to the whereabouts of Justin F. Bell, 34, of Hamilton.

Law enforcement agents were searching the woods in an area around Dan Taylor Road Tuesday for Bell.

Bell is also wanted by the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Bell is approximately 6’ 1" and 175 lbs. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Monroe County Sheriff's Office at 369-2468.
