Cool, dry Canadian air means possible frost and freezing temperatures across the Midsouth through the next few days.

The National Weather Service said early Sunday afternoon it’s a good time to bring sensitive vegetation inside.

Surface winds likely will become light enough over northeast Arkansas to bring temperatures to near freezing by sunrise Monday.

In west Tennessee and northeast Mississippi, light winds also will allow temperatures to cool to near freezing by dawn.

The Canadian high pressure is expected to continue across the Midsouth through the middle of next week.
