GIRLS

1. Ripley (17-4): Coach Katie Bates will miss two games on maternity leave. Coming up: Tonight – at Booneville; Saturday – vs. IAHS at North Pontotoc.

2. New Site (18-4): Lady Royals have 7-game win streak. Coming up: Tonight – host East Union; Saturday – vs. New Hope in Ackerman.

3. H.W. Byers (17-4): Lady Lions host 6A Southaven Feb. 8 to end regular season. Coming up: Tonight – at Ingomar; Saturday – host Coffeeville.

4. Pontotoc (18-3): Defending 4A state champs have won 5 straight division games. Coming up: Tonight – at Shannon; Saturday – vs. Belmont at North Pontotoc.

5. Belmont (16-3): Defending 3A state champs have won 12 of last 13 games. Coming up: Saturday – vs. Pontotoc at North Pontotoc.

6. Itawamba AHS (13-6): Lady Indians are second at 6-1 in Division 1-4A play. Coming up: Tonight – host Amory; Saturday – vs. Ripley at North Pontotoc.

7. Oxford (15-4): Lady Chargers star Alexus Malone missed 2 games with an ankle injury. Coming up: Tonight – at West Point.

8. NEW ALBANY (14-4): Lady Bulldogs have won 9 straight and captured Union County Tournament title. Coming up: Tonight – at Mooreville; Saturday – vs. Scott Central in Ackerman.
