Matthew McIntosh


SHANNON – Matthew McIntosh, 30, passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 2013. He was born Sept. 17, 1983, in Okolona. He was a 2002 graduate of Shannon High School. He loved to hang out with his family and friends and disc jockey.
A celebration of life service will be noon, Saturday, Dec. 28, at New Dimension Full Gospel Church (formerly White Hill) with Pastor Bernard Wilson and Rev. Matthew Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Fields Cemetery in Okolona. Agnew & Sons Funeral Home of Verona is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his parents, Dollie and Thomas McIntosh of Shannon; three brothers, Darrell Goree (Stephanie) of Verona, Thomas McIntosh Jr. of Memphis, Tenn. and Marcus Randle; three sisters, Vokesha McIntosh of Shannon and Brittney and Tiffany Randle of Plantersville; grandparent, Florida “Buddy” Rogers of Shannon; and special aunt and caregiver, Sandra Goree.
He was preceded in death by sister, Comanda “Van” Jamison; brother, David Hughes; and grandparents, G.P and Leona Goree and Lois Hicks.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday and family hour will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Verona.
