Pugh signs with Eagles

CJ-0709-pugh-2CSENATOBIA – Brennan Pugh will continue his baseball career after Northwest, with the sophomore second baseman from Houston signing to play for the Williams Baptist College Eagles next season.

Pugh, the son of Calhoun County natives Lee and Millette Nabors of Houston, is the 12th Ranger to sign or commit to a four-year school from the sophomore class and will join former teammate Tucker Smith who also signed with the Eagles a few weeks back.
Primarily used as a pinch runner, Pugh played in 41 games this season, earning the start in 10, and hit .257 with three doubles and 10 RBIs and stole 21-of-21 bases.
For his career, Pugh appeared in 83 games with four doubles, 13 RBIs, 34 stolen bases and 63 runs scored.
Off the diamond Pugh was the ideal student-athlete, focusing strongly on his academics as well with a 3.90 GPA in exercise science.
Pugh was on the President’s List for the fall 2013 and spring 2014 terms, will earn MACJC Academic All-State honors and also garner the NJCAA Award for Superior Academic Achievement.
WBC competes in the American Midwest Conference of the NAIA.
