Amory’s Forbus nearing state record

Talked with the Clarion Ledger’s record-keeping guru Bill Spencer today trying to figure how close Amory senior Addie Forbus is to breaking the state’s career goals record.

Forbus had 19 goals through six games entering Thursday night’s game against New Hope, 30 goals shy of breaking the record held by Greene County’s Kelsey Cochran with 226.

Forbus scored six goals in less than a half of play against Columbus earlier this season.

“It’s super important, such an honor, but if we’re winning, that’s most important, whether it’s me scoring or someone else” Forbus said.
