Blog Bag: A More Reader-Friendly Bag

Time again for the weekly Blog Bag, which is where you drop in your questions about MSU sports (or whatever else). With this new blog and whatnot, plus the new commenting system that’s in place, it ought to be much easier for y’all to participate in something like this.

So please, leave your questions below, and I’ll have answers for you on Friday. Thanks.

I am the online content coordinator for I also co-host The Memo and Prep Rally podcasts and host the Newsbreak program. Previously at the Journal, I covered Mississippi State athletics (2008-13), high schools (2004-08), and was on the copy desk (2002-04).

  • Does Stricklin have any plans to try to keep the students from throwing drinks during the game?

The students have been throwing cups since the ’80s. It’s not something new. My suggestion for you is to sit higher up in the student section.

What is the latest on the “investigation”? I read a couple of weeks ago that it was nearing the end and a report/statement would be released. Seems like a deal has been reached and Mstate being compliant will be exonerated?

With Broomfield’s move to safety, Slay being highly touted, and Banks as good or better than anone in the league, will we see less zone coverage in the secondary this year?

Just how lucky were we (in your opinion) to snag someone with so much coaching experience to coach our WR’s so close to the beginning of the football season? I know it’s only been two weeks, but I am thoroughly impressed with Coach Brewster.
