Post-Practice Videos: Prescott, Robinson, Hevesy, Jackson, Tobias Smith

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. | Day 3 of practice is in the books for MSU, and it was our last chance to speak with some of the guys until Monday’s big press conference. Today we got offensive personnel.

I’ve got three one-on-one video interviews, with quarterback Dak Prescott, tailback Josh Robinson and offensive line coach John Hevesy, who was not in the most talkative mood. I’ve also got videos of offensive linemen Gabe Jackson and Tobias Smith.

Robinson, a redshirt freshman, is a very quotable kid. When I asked him about Northwestern’s defensive front, he expressed confidence in an MSU offensive line that’s struggled to open running lanes of late: “We’re not worrying about them. We’ve just got our O-linemen, they’re going to push them out of the way, and they’re going to make a hole for us. All we’ve got to do is follow their blocks.”

Smith related a funny story about an argument he had with tailback LaDarius Perkins on who’s to blame for the Bulldogs’ struggles in the run game, so look for that. Enjoy the videos.

I am the online content coordinator for I also co-host The Memo and Prep Rally podcasts and host the Newsbreak program. Previously at the Journal, I covered Mississippi State athletics (2008-13), high schools (2004-08), and was on the copy desk (2002-04).
