MSU Picks Up Wide Receiver Commitment

Mississippi State just got a two-for-one deal of sorts.

De’Runnya Wilson, a wide receiver from Birmingham (Wenonah School), made a verbal commitment to MSU’s football team today, has reported. He is the 23rd member of the Bulldogs’ 2013 commitment class.

The 6-foot-5, 212-pound Wilson is a three-star prospect according to He also held offers from Auburn, Colorado State, Louisville and UAB.

Paul Jones of Bulldawgs247 said that Wilson also intends to play basketball at MSU. Coach Rick Ray could certainly use the help, as State has just 10 players on scholarship, three of whom are out injured. Ray currently has three signees in his 2013 class.

National signing day for football is Feb. 6.
