Video: Borchert Says Bulldogs Have to ‘Keep on Fighting’

Today’s game: MSU (7-16, 2-9 SEC) at LSU (14-8, 5-6), 4 p.m., ESPNU (Tom Hart play-by-play, Matt Doherty analyst)

The Bulldogs are in Baton Rouge seeking to exact revenge for a one-point, last-second loss to the Tigers two weeks ago. More important, they’re trying to stop the bleeding from this nine-game losing streak. A loss today would be MSU’s longest since the 1981-82 season, when it lost 11 in a row.

You can read my game advance in today’s Journal. I had a good chat with junior forward Colin Borchert yesterday about this young team hitting that proverbial wall. His solution: “Keep on fighting.” The desire to win hasn’t diminished.

“Every game that we’ve lost so far, it’s been a heartbreaker for us,” Borchert said. “That’s the one thing about us, we don’t like to lose, so we’re going to go out there and try to win. That’s our main goal, to go out there and win and move on.”

I’ve got video of Borchert below. Enjoy.

For weeks, comments on the ole miss blog was through the roof (some were from rival supporters trying to be total a-holes). The negative approach is a proven method. Some people will come from under rocks to comment when something is not to their liking. Hence, the Missouri game and its aftermath.
