Records: Saint Joseph’s 2-5, MSU 12-0.

Pitching matchup: Saint Joseph’s RHP Jordan Carter (0-0, 4.15 ERA) vs. MSU RHP Evan Mitchell (0-0, 2.25)

Saint Joseph’s lineup: 3B Kevin Kratochwill, 2B Lansing Veeder, RF Greg Kumpel, DH Mike Muha, LF Chris Hueth, 1B John Brue, C Eddie Palmer, SS Anthony Cirillo, CF Ryan Pater

MSU lineup: SS Adam Frazier, CF C.T. Bradford, 1B Alex Detz, DH Mitch Slauter, RF Demarcus Henderson, LF Jacob Robson, 2B Matthew Britton, 3B Sam Frost, C Nick Ammirati

• What to watch for: MSU, the SEC’s lone unbeaten team, will look for lucky 13 today. It’s awfully cold for baseball, with a forecasted high of 43 degrees. A couple of State starters were taken out of the lineup today due to illness: Second baseman Brett Pirtle and DH Trey Porter.

• Pregame playlist: A few songs from my iPod to set the tone…

–”Bronx Sniper,” Mister Heavenly

–”Fragile Bird,” City and Colour

–”Twenty Miles,” Deer Tick

–”Hold On,” Yellow Ostrich

–”Black Hole Sun,” Soundgarden
