Bulldogs Rise to No. 3 in Baseball America Poll

Mississippi State’s baseball team has jumped a couple of spots in the latest Baseball America rankings, checking in at No. 3 this week. The Bulldogs, 15-0 after a four-game sweep of Saint Joseph’s over the weekend, leap-frogged Arkansas and Louisville. The Razorbacks, who went 0-4 last week, plummeted 13 spots to No. 16, while the Cardinals (3-1 last week) dropped one spot to No. 5.

MSU is off to its best start since 2006, when it began the season 18-0. It’s back in action Tuesday against Mississippi Valley State, then hosts Central Arkansas for a three-game series starting Friday.

North Carolina remained No. 1 this week, while Vanderbilt stayed at No. 2. Other SEC teams in the poll are South Carolina (6), Ole Miss (7), LSU (8) and Kentucky (11).
