Auburn-MSU Pregame: Senior Day for Price; Ware Finds Motivation (Videos)

Today’s game: Auburn (9-21, 3-14 SEC) at MSU (8-21, 3-14), 4:30 p.m., FSN (Dave Neal play-by-play, Larry Conley analyst), XM 200, Sirius 92.

It’s senior day for MSU, and the lone senior is walk-on Baxter Price. I wrote about him in today’s game advance, and I also have some video of Price below from earlier in the week. He’s been counted upon quite a bit more this season than in the past, logging 90 minutes total.

But he still hasn’t scored a point this season.

“I’d like to get Baxter a bucket at some point in time; we’re trying to figure it out,” coach Rick Ray said. “The whole key to that is making sure Fred Thomas is not in with him at the end of the game, so Baxter can probably get a bucket.”

Here’s the video of Price.

But wait, there’s more! I caught up with freshman center Gavin Ware yesterday to talk about his play and the motivation MSU has going into today’s game. Here’s the video.

OK, here’s my scouting report from today’s Journal.
