Sallach to Coach Tight Ends Again

Scott Sallach is back to coaching tight ends. MSU coach Dan Mullen announced today that Sallach will resume the duties he undertook when first joining the staff in 2009.

Sallach had been named coordinator of scouting on Feb. 13 when Billy Gonzales was hired as wide receivers coach. Mullen moved Tim Brewster from receivers to tight ends and created Sallach’s new position. Brewster has since left for Florida State, so Mullen has turned again to his old college teammate – he and Sallach graduated from Ursinus College.

A team spokesman said the coordinator of scouting position is not currently an open one.

Mullen has completed his coaching staff just in time for spring football, which begins Thursday.
