Video: Billy Gonzales Wants ‘Freakin’ Mean Football Players’

MSU just got off the field after completing its third spring practice of the season, and the first in pads. More on that later. Right now I want to bring you some post-practice video of new wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales, who is making an early case for the all-interview team (if there was such a thing).

He’s a passionate guy, and that came through clearly in today’s chat as he talked about just what he wants out of his receiving group.

“I want guys that are going, I want guys that are playing fast,” he said. “I want guys that are strong and aggressive. I want mean guys. I want freakin’ mean football players on the football field that are going to portray that. And I want to be tough; that’s what I want. More than anything, I want toughness. I’ll teach them the other stuff.”

Want more Billy G.? Check the video below. He’s very animated, especially the last 25 seconds.
