Renfroe, Holder, Mitchell Named Louisville Slugger All-Americans

Outfielder Hunter Renfroe, closer Jonathan Holder and reliever Ross Mitchell were all named to the Louisville Slugger All-American team, which was released today. Renfroe and Holder both made the 17-man first team, which featured 10 position players and seven pitchers. Mitchell is on the third team.

Renfroe, a junior, is hitting .352 with 15 home runs and 54 RBIs for No. 14 MSU (43-17). Holder, a sophomore, has a 1.00 ERA and is tied for the SEC lead in saves with 16, which is a single-season school record. Mitchell is 11-0 with a 1.51 ERA, and he’s second on the team in innings pitched (77 2/3).

Renfroe and Holder both made first-team All-SEC earlier this week, while Mitchell was left off the squad selected by the league’s coaches.
