STARKVILLE | Practices are now closed off from the prying eyes of the media (and fans), as MSU has moved operations out to the South Farm practice fields, which are located on the edge of campus next to the vet school. Following today’s work, we caught up with head man Dan Mullen, who filled us in on today’s happenings and offered his thoughts on other topics, too. He’s looking mighty scruffy and sunburned these days, but was in a good mood.
Turns out that rain and lightning forced MSU indoors about midway through today’s practice. Weather also kept the Bulldogs in the Palmeiro Center on Monday. So the new players have yet to get the full South Farm experience.
“I’m kind of a rainmaker, to be honest with you,” Mullen said. “We can schedule practice outdoors somewhere, it’s going to rain. I think our guys had pretty good focus, adapted to it well, that we started having the first part of practice outside.”
Mullen spoke for more than 10 minutes, and since we can’t watch practice, we’re relying on him to tell us what transpired. In other words, no detailed injury report. But he did talk about “juice points,” so that was something.
Now, let’s go to the video and hear what Mullen had to say.
