STARKVILLE | Several veteran defensive players showed up for MSU media day earlier this afternoon. I’ve videos of two of them right here: cornerback Jamerson Love and defensive tackle Curtis Virges, who also happen to be local kids as far as the Daily Journal is concerned. Love hails from Aberdeen, while Virges is from West Point.
Love is stepping into a starting role this season, and he talked about trying to replace guys such as Johnthan Banks and Darius Slay while forging his own identity as a player. Virges is part of a deep tackle rotation and talked about what he’s been working on to get better.
