STARKVILLE | One of the two players we spoke with following today’s practice was receiver Jeremey Chappelle. The juco transfer figures to be a key part of the rotation this year for a unit that lost all three starters from 2012.
And Chappelle has been getting work in multiple spots. He said he’s gotten reps lately at the slot position, where Jameon Lewis is slated to be the starter. That’s a position that could use a little depth, and the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Chappelle brings a different look there than Lewis or Brandon Holloway.
“I read a lot of the linebackers a lot now, and the safeties a lot. So that’s pretty much how it changes,” Chappelle said.
