Video: Collins, Defense ‘Fired Up’ for Oklahoma State

STARKVILLE | Mississippi State continued preseason camp and its preparations for the opener at Oklahoma State, and we caught up with a few guys after practice.

Defensive coordinator Geoff Collins has his hands full getting ready for that prolific OSU offense, which has been one of the best in the country year after year under coach Mike Gundy. Defensive players we spoke with Tuesday said they were looking forward to the challenge, and Collins echoed that sentiment.

“It’ll be a great challenge,” he said. “We’re fired up for it, couldn’t ask for a better opener. Great team, great offense, great coaches. We’ll see what happens.”

    I know this is just smack talk, but could you ask some of the defensive lineman or coach Collins when you have the chance about what they think of the OSU offensive linemen, if they haven’t already heard, calling out our D-line and pretty much doubting us based off of what they saw from us last season. Maybe that’ll add a little fuel to fire, especially for the line
