Logan Lowery of the Daily Journal previews the weekly games for Mississippi State’s current commitments.

The Bulldogs currently have 18 verbal commitments and its 2014 class is rated 32nd by 247Sports.com.

Logan Cooke, P, 6-5, 200, Columbia Academy (Columbia, Miss.)

Last Week: Cooke did not play due to a foot injury in a 28-6 win over Wayne Academy.

This Week: Oak Forest (La.) Academy (2-2) at Columbia Academy (3-1)

2013 Stats: Punts – 10 punts for 436 yards (43.6 avg.) Field Goals – 1-for-2 Extra Points – 3-of-5 Kickoffs – 11 touchbacks Offense – three catches for 64 yards

Deshon Cooper, LB, 6-4, 215, Columbia (Decatur, Ga.)

Last Week: Cooper made five tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack and one forced fumble. He also had four catches for 43 yards in a 18-7 loss to Stockbridge.

This Week: Carver (2-1) at Columbia (1-2)

2013 Stats: Defense – 10 tackles; four sacks; three forced fumbles; four tackles for loss Offense – five catches for 72 yards.

Lashard Durr, CB, 5-11, 180, Harrison Central (Gulfport, Miss.)

Last Week: Durr had two tackles. He also made two catches for 43 yards and a 53-yard kickoff return in a 28-21 win over Greene County.

2013 Stats: Defense – seven tackles, four pass deflections Offense – five carries for 68 yards; five catches for 169 yards, one touchdown Special teams – one kickoff return for 53 yards.

Last Week: Fitzgerald completed 3-of-6 passing for 105 yards and two touchdowns and also carried four times for 38 yards and two more scores in a 51-14 win over Savannah.

Last Week: Graham carried six times for 16 yards and caught one pass for seven yards. He also made eight tackles (seven solo, one assist), returned two kickoffs for 61 yards and two punts for 12 yards in a 10-7 loss to Forest.
