Russell glad to be back in action

In this morning’s Daily Journal, I wrote a feature story on Mississippi State senior quarterback Tyler Russell and his journey back from a concussion that kept him out of action for over a month.

Russell was one of the most heralded quarterback recruits to ever sign with the Bulldogs and already has 13 school records to his credit.  Saturday night against LSU, Russell completed 7 of 11 passing for 146 yards and two touchdowns in a backup role.

Here is the full interview we conducted with the Meridian native following his first game back.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
