STARKVILLE – For the first time this season Mississippi State fans will have to be early risers.

The Bulldogs Nov. 2 matchup at South Carolina has been slated for an 11:21 a.m. CT kickoff televised on the SEC Network.

The two teams have not met since 2011 when the Gamecocks edged out MSU 14-12 in Starkville. South Carolina holds a 8-6 lead in the series.

The Bulldogs have not played at USC’s Williams-Brice Stadium since 2007 in a 38-21 loss.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
