Diamond Dogs get their rings

Mississippi State’s enjoyed one of its best seasons in school history in 2013 by advancing to championship series at the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.

Wednesday the Diamond Dogs received their CWS rings after head coach John Cohen had a little fun at their expense. Afterwards, my former employee, current colleague and most importantly my nine-fingered pal Bob Carskadon interviews junior first baseman Wes Rea about what the ring means to him.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
