Mississippi State left guard Gabe Jackson has been named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week for the third time this season.

Jackson is the only player in the league to win the award multiple times this year and the first Bulldog to do so since Derek Sherrod claimed the honor four times during 2010.

The senior graded out at 85-percent this past weekend against Arkansas with three pancake blocks. It was the lowest grade Jackson has received in his past three outings grading 89-percent with four pancakes against Texas A&M and 86-percent against top-ranked Alabama.

The 6-foot-4, 340-pounder from Liberty was also named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week for his performances against Troy and Kentucky.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
