Jones named to SEC All-Freshman team

Mississippi State’s Chris Jones received another honor Thursday being named to the SEC All-Freshman team.

The 6-foot-5, 305-pound defensive lineman from Houston appeared in all 12 games for the Bulldogs drawing three starts. Jones registered 31 tackles and led the team with seven tackles for loss and three sacks.

Jones was also an honorable mention on the AP All-SEC team earlier this week.
