Long time Mississippi State offensive guard commitment Norman Price signed with Southern Miss on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pounder from Hinds Community College had been committed to the Bulldogs since June 13 and was expected to ink with the Bulldogs along with offensive tackle Jocquell Johnson of Copiah-Lincoln.

Instead Price joined JUCO offensive line teammate Thomas Collins in Hattiesburg. The Vicksburg native also had offers from Kentucky, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Missouri, Troy and Western Kentucky.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
