Mississippi State senior guard Gabe Jackson will participate in the 2014 Senior Bowl at 3 p.m. Saturday in Mobile, Ala., at Ladd-Peebles Stadium televised on the NFL Network.

Jackson will represent the Bulldogs on the South team wearing No. 60. The 6-foot-4, 335-pounder from Liberty was named Senior Bowl Player of the Day on Wednesday by the NFL Network.

Jackson started all 52 games of his MSU career which was the most among active FBS players. He earned nine All-American teams as well as being named All-SEC and winning the Conorly and Hull Awards for the top overall and offensive lineman in Mississippi respectively.

The Bulldogs have had at least one player in the Senior Bowl since 1995 and 84 players overall.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
