Former Mississippi State point guard Dee Bost was selected to play in the NBA Developmental League All-Star Game in New Orleans on Saturday.

Bost was part of the victorious Prospects team that won 145-143. The 6-foot-2, 188-pounder did his part for the prospects with four points, two rebounds, seven assists and a steal in nearly 20 minutes off the bench. Bost was 1 of 4 shooting from the field but 2 of 2 from the free throw line.

For the season, Bost is averaging 15.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 8.6 rebounds for the Idaho Stampede.

Bost lettered for the Bulldogs from 2009-12 and is the school’s all-time assists leader.

Fellow former Bulldog Jarvis Varnado was also selected for the game but did not participate. Varnado is averaging 14.1 points, 11 boards and 4.7 blocks per game for the Iowa Energy.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
