Mississippi State continues its strong start to its 2015 recruiting class.

The Bulldogs added Louisville wide receiver Dontea Jones’ commitment on Monday becoming the ninth member of the class. The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder is the sixth four-star prospect to join the fold according to 247Sports.com.

Jones chose MSU over offers from Florida, Ole Miss, Alcorn State, Jackson State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Miami, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

Last season, Jones helped lead the Wildcats to the Class 3A State Championship by hauling in 43 passes for 774 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Jones becomes the Bulldogs fifth commitment from the Mississippi high school ranks for 2015.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
