For the second time this season Mississippi State has had one of its 2013 signees tabbed as SEC Freshman of the Week.
Breanna Richardson it’s the latest to receive the honor following her 16-point performance in the 64-62 upset win over No. 16 Vanderbilt on Sunday.
Richardson shot 6 of 8 from the floor and hit all three of her free throws to go along with three rebounds and two assists. The Conyers, Ga., native also stole the in-bounds pass with 3.3 remaining to seal the victory for the Bulldogs.
The 6-foot-1 forward is scoring 9.1 points this season including an 11.1 average in conference play.
Richardson joins Dominique Dillingham as MSU rookies to win the SEC Freshman of the Week honor this season.
