Live from the Hump

Humphrey Coliseum

Humphrey Coliseum

I just arrived inside a nearly empty Humphrey Coliseum for Mississippi State’s final home game of the year. Seniors Colin Borchert and Tyson Cunningham were both honored in a pregame ceremony. The Bulldogs are in their home whites while South Carolina is clad in garnet. Today’s game will be televised on SEC-TV. It was announced before the game that De’Runnya Wilson’s basketball season is over and will now focus on football.

Cunningham led a beautiful national anthem.

As I wrote in the game preview, South Carolina head coach Frank Martin is suspended for today’s game by the university after using inappropriate language to his players.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.

have you ever seen a moment like the one and one shot with around 0:35 to go? I’ve always been pleased at the team for their effort, but today, down the stretch, they all seemed to give up.

It could be the amount of minutes that these 8 guys have piled up! Any way to post their minutes vs other SEC players minutes? They look fatigued. Ricky F*****g Ray inherited a mess, similar to Croom’s inheritance. Ricky F*****g Ray is getting it turned around…it’s a process that cannot happen over night.
