Mississippi State is beefing up its non-conference slate in men’s basketball.

Head coach Rick Ray announced via Twitter (@RickRay1) Monday that the Bulldogs have a home-and-home scheduled with Florida State to go along with the Oregon State home-and-home meeting that was revealed last week.

MSU will host the Seminoles on Jan. 2 and will make the trek to Tallahassee in 2015-16.

The two teams have previously met eight times each winning four. The Bulldogs won the last outing 86-71 in the 2007 MasterCard National Invitation Tournament in Starkville.

The Seminoles were 22-14 last season losing in the NIT Semifinals.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
