Two Mississippi State players at opposite ends of their careers were named to the SEC All-Tournament team on Sunday.
Senior centerfielder C.T. Bradford and true freshman catcher Gavin Collins were both picked following their performances during the Bulldogs four games in Hoover, Ala., this past week.
Bradford started all four games going 8-for-17 with a double, walk, RBI and three runs scored. The Pace, Fla., native went 3-for-4 against both South Carolina and Florida in the SEC Tournament.
It is Bradford’s first ever SEC All-Tournament selection.
Bradford has appeared in 47 games this season making 44 starts. He is hitting .311 with seven doubles, five triples, a home run and 29 runs batted in.
Collins was 6-for-14 at the plate during the SEC Tournament with two walks, one RBI and a run scored. The Lake Forest, Calif., native was 4-for-5 against Kentucky and caught all 11-plus innings of that contest.
Collins has played in 44 games including 41 starting calls. He is batting .325 with eight doubles, a home run and 17 RBI.
